Lunch

soup for lunch when pregnant

Soup is a great pregnancy lunch!

A big lunch is not a must, in fact during your pregnancy, it’s better to have a few small meals throughout the day rather than three big meals. So keep it simple and embrace snack-time! Remember, your stomach is going to feel a lot smaller than normal due to your enlarged uterus, so eating small portions throughout the day will also be a lot easier.

Here are a few lunch time ideas:

Eggs aren’t just for breakfast, you can have them for lunch too! A ham and cheese omelette with a side salad is a great, egg-based lunch.

Chicken with a side steamed vegetables of your choice.

Soups. These are especially yummy if you are pregnant during the winter season! What’s even better is that there are so many healthy, flavours available.

A simple chicken salad sandwich is a healthy lunch option too. Just because you’re pregnant doesn’t mean you can’t have your favourite sandwich!

Salmon with vegetables. Try topping the salmon with some carrots and pepper and then sprinkle the entire dish with lemon juice, salt and olive oil. After that, all you have to do is wrap the salmon and vegetables in foil and bake it for abit. It’s a perfect, delicious combo!

Fish cakes with salad. Nice, easy and delicious!
