Tips about healthcare abroad
If you are pregnant and thinking about going on holiday, you need to look into your destination and find out whether there are any essential steps you need to take before travelling.
- You need to look into healthcare abroad, ensure your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) is up to date.
- Make sure you research the destination to find out whether you needany vaccinations. You need to be aware that some vaccinations are not safe for pregnant women, don’t put you and your baby at risk!
- You need to also know that healthcare is available when you are abroad in case of an emergency.
- Make sure you know the location and opening times of your nearest healthcare centre.
