10 weeks pregnant: your body

This is the tenth week of the first trimester of your pregnancy. This week you may find that you are feeling a bit constipated and clogged up. To stop this you will need to up your exercise, make sure you are following a healthy diet and drink plenty of water. It is important to snack on foods that aid stool movement, such as dried fruit, whole grains and veggies.

Pregnancy symptoms

  • Increased vaginal discharge
  • Visible veins on your body
  • Lower abdominal achiness
  • Relaxing ligaments

Remember: At this point you may feel extremely tired, so try and take naps, go to bed early and relax using gentle exercise. If family and friends offer you help, take advantage of it! The smallest things can help, your body is working hard to grow a baby so you need to relax.
