26 weeks pregnant: your body

Can you feel your baby kicking?

This is the twenty-sixth week of the second trimester of your pregnancy. You have almost made it to your third trimester! You will probably now be feeling your baby’s movements. Right now they may feel a bit uncoordinated, but they will soon become more patterned as your baby’s nervous system develops. As your baby grows and gets stronger you will start to feel stronger kicks that might even cause you pain. If you feel your baby is in an awkward position, then do some stretches or even softly push at your belly to get your baby to move.

Pregnancy symptoms

  • Bloating
  • Clumsiness
  • Vision changes

Remember: You may be suffering from vision changes as your pregnancy hormones decrease tear production, so use some eye drops to ease your irritated, dry eyes.
