Blood pregnancy test

Am I pregnantBlood pregnancy tests are pregnancy tests that can only be conducted at your doctor’s office and are used to not only to confirm your pregnancy, but to also monitor the first trimester of your pregnancy.

A blood pregnancy test is even more accurate than a urine pregnancy test, which has an accuracy rate of 97%. They can also detect your pregnancy earlier than a urine test can, approximately 6-8 days after ovulation. However, the results of a blood pregnancy test take between several hours and whole day to be produced.

Blood pregnancy tests are just like any other blood test. A vial of blood is drawn, usually from your forearm, and then examined in a hospital laboratory. A blood pregnancy test can be a bit uncomfortable for a couple of minutes, but it doesn’t usually hurt too much, so there is nothing to worry about. In the lab medical professionals not only test your blood for the presence of hCG, the pregnancy hormone, but also measure how much hCG is present. These tests are qualitative pregnancy tests and quantitative pregnancy tests respectively.
