eggs and ham for pregnancy breakfast

Eggs make a nutritious and delicious pregnancy breakfast!

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so make sure you are eating a nutritious breakfast everyday. It will also help to keep your energy levels up until lunchtime!

Here are some ideas for a healthy breakfast during your pregnancy and even afterwards. Just because you’re pregnant doesn’t mean you have to have the same breakfast every morning, mix things up – after all, you only live once!

Bran Flakes with milk, a sliced banana and a few strawberries. This breakfast is great, because it meets your fibre and calcium needs! It is important to get enough calcium when you are pregnant, so eating cereal in the morning is a perfect way to include milk in your diet.

Fruit is another perfect way to start your day, as it gives you a good dose of vitamins, minerals and fibre! It is also a great option if one of your pregnancy food aversions include milk and other dairy products.

Natural yogurt with blueberries and you can even add some honey if you what to sweeten it up! If you prefer another fruit that’s an option too. We recommend natural yogurt mixed with fresh fruit instead of ready-flavoured yogurt, because natural yogurt doesn’t have the artificial sweetners and additives.

Eggs! You can have them scrambled, boiled or as an omelette. You can also add other ingredients, such as ham or tomatoes for extra flavour and nutrition!
