Non-alcoholic Christmas buttered rum
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of softened butter
- ½ cup of brown sugar
- ½ cup of sifting powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 pint of softened vanilla ice cream
- 1 teaspoon of rum flavoring
- 1/2 cup of boiling water for each serving
Method:
1. Cream the butter, sugars, nutmeg, cinnamon and rum flavoring together using an electric mixer.
2. Blend in the vanilla ice-cream.
3. Place the blended mixture into a freezer container, seal the container and place it in the freezer.
4. When ready to serve, carefully spoon 2-4 tablespoons of the mixture into a mug.
5. Add a ½ cup of boiling water.
6. Stir well and garnish with a cinnamon stick to serve.
