This is the sixteenth week of the second trimester of your pregnancy. You may have noticed that your teeth and gums appear to be different during pregnancy. Your gums may start bleeding when brushing your teeth or feel inflamed. The reason for this is that your pregnancy hormones cause your gums to be more sensitive and prone to bacteria and plaque build up. Brush your teeth twice a day and floss daily as this will help with the inflammation.

Pregnancy symptoms

  • Continued breast growth
  • Backaches
